Routine maintenance will keep your equipment running smoothly and efficiently. Keep the rails clean and free of debris by wiping them down on a weekly basis and using a 3-in-1 oil. Regularly cleaning the lens and mirrors will keep them from getting damaged. Over time, the laser tube will need to be replaced. The normal life expectancy ranges with wattage.  A 30-watt tube is 1500 hours, 60- and 90-watt tube is 8,000 hours and the 100-watt tube is 10,000 hours.

Of course not! Although created for and first used in the monument industry, the AP Lazer can engrave/cut a wide variety of materials.
