How King’s Custom Designs Quadrupled Their Woodworking Revenue with AP Lazer

Background

King’s Custom Designs, based in Alaska, offers custom woodworking services. Initially focused solely on CNC routing, they quickly recognized the need for versatile and efficient personalization services, leading to the adoption of CO2 laser technology.

The Problem

Facing logistical challenges in Alaska, high freight costs, and the inefficiency of outsourcing laser engraving services, King’s Custom Designs needed a more integrated solution. Their existing CNC router was messy and limited to wood, prompting the search for a versatile laser machine.

The Solution

We chose AP Lazer for the community support, unmatched customer service, and versatility. This allowed King’s Custom Designs to bring all necessary tools under one roof, enabling work with materials beyond hardwood.

Implementation

King’s Custom Designs converted a 12×20 outbuilding into a heated, insulated workshop with a gas heater and double French doors to accommodate bigger products. This setup protected the laser against Alaska’s harsh weather and provided a dust-free environment for customers to view their sleek equipment and designs.
